Info on upgrading your barn or Silo.
You can upgrade the amount of your barn or Silo storage by collecting items needed to upgrade it.
Note: You should have your barn and silo above the level you are at. So if you are at level 20 it's recommended that the cost to upgrade be 22 or more of each item to upgrade your barn or silo. This allows for having space for items for orders that take longer to produce. You should shop for items to upgrade your barn and silo in the newspaper. And upgrade by buying the items from there over waiting for the game to give them to you. It cost you more yes but IMO it pays off by being able to store items for orders and to buy the bargain priced items in the newspaper. Then reselling at a profit those items you have larger surplus of.
The main key to building up your coinage bank is knowing who to sell to and when.
1. Do not sell to those walk up visitors unless a Visitor event is going on or you can grow the items in your fields.
2. Do not fill truck orders unless there is a event for truck orders or you need to make space in your barn fast. (Note) does not apply if you are doing a derby task for them, but it's best to have the order board orders ready before selecting a truck order task.
3. Do not rush a boat order if a boat event is not going on at the time. Do fill the orders asap for point valves, but shop for items in the newspaper and use Tom to get items you do not have. Be sure that you look and see what items are on the next boat order when you send off a boat.
4. Towns people do not have to be served if you are low on items for them. But remember to shop for deals of items they need and serve them to reach next level in town. (Note) The next train does not arrive after the clock runs out, without you visiting the town.
Such as for the
Silo
Wood paneling
Screws
Nails
Barn
Duck tape
Planks
Bolts
Each of the above items are gained by harvesting crops, animal product harvesting, veg products harvest, treasure chest ect...
NOTE: Treasure chest are not always free to open, I recommend not using diamonds to open them. They are like a lottery ticket IMO and really not worth the spending of diamonds on.
Note: Do not sell your upgrade items, sell off the lower level items first. Those that do not take as long to produce. If you are at level 29 join a neighborhood and ask for help to upgrade your barn or Silo. A good neighborhood will be one that works together for each to advance each other.
